PRIVATE COMMISSIONS

A limited number of private commissions are accepted each year.

Commissioned paintings are conceived within Johannes Wessmark’s established visual language, with particular emphasis on the human form, water, reflected light, and meticulously rendered surfaces. Private figurative subjects and individually developed concepts may be discussed in complete confidence.

Each project begins with a private conversation about the intended setting, dimensions, subject, and artistic direction. Once a concept has been agreed, the collector receives a written proposal covering the composition, size, price, estimated schedule, and delivery arrangements.

Work begins following a signed commission agreement and deposit. Progress is shared at selected stages, while final artistic decisions remain with the artist. The completed painting is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity and can be delivered internationally using professional, fully insured art transport.

Client confidentiality is respected. A commissioned work will not be published or exhibited without prior agreement.

Private commission projects begin at USD 25,000, depending on scale, complexity, and subject.
